Philadelphians Enjoy The Sunshine Around The City

By Dan Wing

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – With pretty much perfect temperatures – no rain and plenty of sunshine – Sunday proved to be a great day to get outside. Philadelphians didn’t waste the opportunity.

Walking along the water at Penn’s Landing were couples old and young, and plenty of parents out with their kids.

Even though it wasn’t that hot, there was still quite the crowd around the fountains. This woman was with her grandson who was soaked from head to toe.

“We went on the boat ride, me and my grandson. Now we’re here. Getting wet!” she said.

Over at Franklin Square, the sentiment was the same as folks were just happy to be outside.

“This is gorgeous, gorgeous weather. Finally got away from the heat,” said one person.

“It’s beautiful, I love it. It’s relaxing,” said another.

Hopefully, we’ll get a few more days like this before the summer is over.
