Remote Doctors Visits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Would you like to see your doctor via Skype? In other words, with the exception of an occasional visit for a physical exam and a trip to the lab for blood work, would you want your smartphone to check your pulse, listen to your heart sounds and even send your doctor blood sugars without leaving your home?
The technology is there and, according to some leading physicians - including Dr. Eric Topol who has writtten a book about the creative destruction of medicine - it could happen soon.
Certainly it is cheaper and will save the health care system money, but is it better?
