SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say a man’s body has been found in a sport utility vehicle in a ravine in northeastern Pennsylvania.

Officials in Lackawanna County said Saturday night that the vehicle was teetering on a ledge overlooking Roaring Brook.

Scranton police said the vehicle was about one and one-half miles upstream of a command post set up near the University of Scranton tennis courts.

He told The (Scranton) Times-Tribune that the precarious position of the vehicle was hampering efforts to retrieve the body.

He also said it was very early in the investigation “but this appears to be accidental.”
