4 Injured After SEPTA Bus, Dump Truck Collide on I-76

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Four passengers were injured after a SEPTA bus and dump truck collided on I-76 Thursday afternoon.

The incident happened at about 2:30 p.m. on the I-76 eastbound lane near Montgomery Drive.

Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as Pennsylvania State Police and medics responded to the accident.

SEPTA officials say a Route 9 bus collided with the back of the dump truck.

Four passengers aboard the bus suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

The I-676 westbound ramp to I-76 eastbound was closed briefly, but later re-opened to traffic.

The bus is currently in the right shoulder waiting to be towed.

Drivers should expect delays in the area.
