Police Investigate 2 Indecent Exposure Incidents In Newark

NEWARK, Del., (CBS) – Police in Newark, Delaware are investigating two indecent exposure incidents that happened last week.

Newark Police say the incidents appear to be unrelated at this time.

The first incident happened July 20th at about 9:30 p.m. near the McDonald's Restaurant, located at the 800 block of S. College Avenue.

Two victims told police they saw a white man standing by the dumpsters that border the restaurants who appeared to be urinating.

On their way out of the parking lot, they told police they saw the same man allegedly masturbating.

After he was seen, police say the suspect ran towards the opening of a fence towards McVey Elementary School.

Police say multiple officers and canine units checked the area, but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a white male, 40-to-49-years-old, 180 pounds to 200 pounds, and 5'10" to 6'00".  He was wearing khaki colored shorts, a light colored button down shirt, and collar length brown hair.

The second incident happened on July 23rd at about 10 p.m. at the apartment complex located at the 300 block of E. Main Street.

Police say the suspect said "Hey girl," to the victim as he was exposing himself.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 40-years-old, heavy build, wearing light colored pants and a floral shirt.
