Blog: Veteran Job Expo 7/25 in Philly
By Jim Donovan: The military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce a Veteran Opportunity Expo, a hiring event for veterans and other men and women with military backgrounds, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, on Thursday, July 25, 2013.
The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. RecruitMilitary is inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members.
More than 300 veterans and military spouses are expected to attend this great opportunity to meet face-to-face with veteran-friendly local and national employers including Sallie Mae, L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, American Income Life Insurance Co., Lockheed Martin, Baker Hughes, Citizens Bank , Amtrak National Passenger Corp., Waste Management, Goodman Manufacturing Co., and many more.
RecruitMilitary expects more than 35 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Already signed up are Amtrak, Citizens Bank, Baker Hughes, Lockheed Martin, L-3 Communications Integrated Systems, American Income Life Insurance Company, Goodman Manufacturing Company, Waste Management Inc., DeVry University, MCM Management, Northwestern Mutual Financial, PNC, BlackRock Inc., Trident University International, Bankers Life and Casualty, the United States Army, Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Prudential Financial, 1st Marine Corps District Prior Service Recruiting, Strayer University, the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, and Heavy Construction Academy.
