5 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Montgomery County

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – Officials say at least five people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash in Montgomery County Sunday morning.

The incident occurred at about 11 a.m. on Route 100 in Pottstown.

Eyewitnesses say a driver ran a red light and hit two cars that were traveling in the opposite direction.

Apparently, the drive then struck a fourth vehicle while trying to return to their lane.

"We were just sitting at the traffic light, at the front of the light, and heard screeches. But within a second or two, we were slammed in the back by a car that proceeded to pull out from behind the car that was hitting us, going into opposing traffic," said one man whose vehicle was hit.

Officials have not yet released details on the injuries.
