AAA South Jersey Extending Service To Bike Riders

VOORHEES, N.J. (AP) — AAA South Jersey is offering a new service for bike riders.

It's going to provide emergency transportation for members whose bikes break down.

The motoring club says on its website that the new service will be available free of charge to AAA Plus members in its four-county coverage area.

It says riders who call for help will get transportation to any point of safety within a 15-mile radius of the breakdown.

AAA South Jersey serves Camden, Gloucester, Cumberland and Salem counties.

Other states where AAA clubs have rolled out bicycle assistance programs include Washingon, Oregon and more recently, Minnesota.
