UPDATE: 11-Year-Old Girl Hit By Car While Riding Bike On Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An 11-year-old girl is in critical condition after she was hit by a car while riding her bike on Roosevelt Boulevard Thursday evening.

The incident happened at about 6 p.m. at Roosevelt Boulevard near Garland Street in the Lawncrest section, about a mile-and-a-half away from Tuesday's fatal accident.

Philadelphia Police say the girl was riding her bike when she crossed the southbound inner lanes against the light and was hit by a 2003 Cadillac Escalade.

The girl was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children and listed in critical condition. Police say she suffered head trauma and possibly a broken right arm.

The driver stayed on scene.
