One 'Golden Ticket' Good For Lifetime Of Free Fried Chicken Still Unclaimed, Says Federal Donuts

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – It's been 10 days since two lucky people won free chicken – for life! – from Federal Donuts.

But there's still one "Golden Ticket" at large, and the owners of Fed 'Nuts have come up with a way to raise money for charity and give away the last ticket to one deserving person.

Beginning on Wednesday, July 17 and running until Friday, July 26, guests at both locations will be able to donate $1 to the Broad Street Ministry, a group that provides free meals for those in need. Federal Donuts will match all donations.

Those that donate will have their names added to a pool, and on Friday, July 26, the restaurant will hold a drawing to determine the final winner of the Golden Ticket.

According to Chef Michael Solomonov, who owns the donut and fried chicken shops along with Steven Cook, says the response to the first free chicken for life offering was overwhelming – but that one chicken-for-life ticket was never claimed.
