Dog Stolen During Rittenhouse Square Apartment Burglary Found Safe
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A dog that was stolen during the burglary of a Philadelphia apartment has been safely reunited with its owner.
Betty, a Chinese Crested/Terrier Mix, was found safe and was returned to her owner, Alison Rans.
Betty was stolen, along with a TV and a camera, during a break-in at Rans' Rittenhouse Square apartment on July 12th. (See Related Story)
Investigators say the suspects forced their way into the apartment in the 2000 block of Walnut and swiped the TV, camera, MacBook and Betty.
On Tuesday, Rans was reunited with Betty. Rans has been caring for Betty, a foster dog, a rescue from West Jersey Volunteers for Animals.
The burglary remains under investigation.
