Art Museum Transforms Into Concert Venue Fridays During Summer

By Hadas Kuznits

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Philadelphia Museum of Art invites you to join them of Fridays for Art After 5.

Sara Moyn, director of evening programs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art says they just recently released their performance schedule for their Art After 5 program, which takes place after work on Fridays.

"We surveyed some people and found out that they were looking for evening hours to come to the museum.  People can't make it during the day and it seemed like a great way to kick off the weekend to have a cocktail and stroll the galleries and see a great live performance here in the museum."

So what's on the schedule this summer?

"We do a lot of Jazz over the summertime especially and try to pay tribute to all of the amazing jazz musicians working in Philadelphia."

And the cost includes free tours of the collections.  The party continues until the museum closes at 8:45.

"It's free for members and its $20 for adults, $14 for students."
