Man Found Shot In Head In Galloway Township Dies

GALLOWAY Twp., N.J., (CBS) – Authorities say a Galloway Township man found lying on the street with a gunshot wound to the head late Wednesday night, has died.

According to the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office, 36-year-old Metrevell Gatling, of Galloway Township, was found at about 11:12 p.m. lying in the street at the intersection of East Collins Avenue and Colonial Court, in Galloway Township, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Gatling was transported to the Atlantic City Medical Center.

According to the Prosecutor's Office, Gatling was declared to be without brain activity at 8:35 a.m. Thursday morning. Life support was terminated late Thursday afternoon.

The incident remains under investigation.
