PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Philadelphia police are hoping they’ll be able to recover a Stanley Cup ring stolen from a family member of a player from the 1974 Flyers’ championship team.

Philadelphia police say someone broke into the apartment of Heidi Watson, daughter of former Flyers’ defenseman Joe Watson, and stole the ring (similar to photo).

Investigators say someone broke into the apartment, in the 1700 block of Spruce Street, in the Rittenhouse Square section of the city, sometime between 5pm Sunday and 8am Monday.

Besides the ring, which was valued at $2,000, the burglar got away with a laptop computer and some other jewelry.
