Feast On Insects At Morris Arboretum's Upcoming 'Bug Crawl'

By Chelsea Karnash

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Craving a fat juicy…mealworm?!

On July 17th at the Morris Arboretum, you can try one -- along with cockroaches, silkworms, crickets and bamboo worms.

The Penn-owned arboretum is bringing in Chef Josh Hunter of Company's Coming Catering for the bug-centric feast, which includes -- ahem -- delicacies like cricket fritters with coconut curry dipping sauce and bamboo worm bruschetta.

"Bug Crawl" also includes a selection of beer and wine "specially chosen to complement the evening's menu."

Intrigued? Disgusted? A bit of both? Stop by and see what it's all about. Tickets to the high-protein bug buffet are $45 for members and $50 for non-members.
