COLTS NECK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities are searching for the person who stabbed a central New Jersey woman and then stole her vehicle to make their getaway.
The 41-year-old Colts Neck woman was stabbed around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on the street where she lives. She was being treated at a hospital, but further details on her condition were not disclosed.
Her name also was not released.
Monmouth County prosecutors say it’s not clear if the woman knew her assailant, and a motive for the stabbing and theft has not been determined. The woman’s car had not been recovered as of late Sunday morning.
A description of the assailant has not been released.
