On Tuesday night, July 23rd, it's Disney's "Fantasia," live in concert at The Mann Center. CEO Catherine Cahill says the audience will be thrilled by iconic scenes of both the 1940 version and the 2000 update, including, "that indelible image of Leopold Stokowski conducting and shaking Mickey's hand, and the wonderful scene from 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice,' where Mickey is bailing out the water."
And the Philadelphia Orchestra will be performing, more than 70 years after being featured on the original film's soundtrack.
"And so, to have them opening their residency at the Mann this summer, with -- not only Fantasia -- their signature work, is a perfect fit for them, for the Mann and, of course most importantly, for our wonderful audiences," Cahill says.
