40 Left Homeless After Fire At State College Apartment Building

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -- A fire has destroyed a 19-unit apartment building in State College.

Firefighters say they rescued two people from a balcony during the Thursday evening fire, which began about 8 p.m. No injuries have been reported but about 40 people were left without a home.

The cause of the blaze is still being investigated.

The Red Cross is helping the families involved with food, shelter and clothing.
