Fireworks Pose Risks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - I know that I bring this up every year but despite what I say the problems continue. So, I will say it again. Make certain that children can't get near any fireworks.

This is a recipe for disaster.

And, don't stop there. It is very important that adults who are thinking about a sparkling July 4th, not combine alcohol with fireworks.

Finally, fireworks are much easier to get than they used to be. If you are not experienced or have not been taught how to safely use them…stay away - leave it to the professionals.

Each year people lose fingers or suffer horrific burns. Be careful…use common sense.
