Police: Ventnor Man Murdered In Atlantic City

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- Police in Atlantic City are investigating the stabbing death of a man from Ventnor, New Jersey.

Authorities say 28-year-old Oscar O. Mendez was found lying in the street at the intersection of Texas and Pacific Avenues on Thursday at about 11:30 p.m.

While working to determine Mendez’s condition, they discovered he had been stabbed.

He was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Campus, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department are investigating.
