Philadelphia Archdiocese Launches New Website Geared Towards Young Adults

By Mark Abrams

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has launched a website aimed at college-age students and young adults.

Elizabeth Riordan, who is supervising the website for the Archdiocese, says one of the primary goals was to create a social and spiritual networking opportunity for users.

"There are various young adult groups that hold events throughout the Archdiocese and we want to bring them together so that if we have somebody who's living in Center City, Philadelphia who just moved, or who is just visiting and wants to see what's going on, they can look at our calendar and see that there's something happening right in Center City at a parish near them," she explains.

Riordan says the new site is also filled with a variety of links, including ones steering the user toward exploring a vocation in religious, consecrated, single or married life.
