Graduating High School Seniors Discuss Present, Future

By Special Contributor Larry Kane

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Remember your High School graduation? Your hopes and dreams? Members of the High School class of 2013 offered their perspective on the future as they get set to move on to the next chapter's in their life.

The number one concern appears to be terror:

"We were in first grade when 9-11 happened, so although it was first grade, I remember that happening and then it's sort of strange, you turn 18 and all of a sudden there's another terror attack on U.S soil. It's scary, but I would say we understand it," says Paul Johnson of St. Joe's Prep.

Anna Guatier of Great Valley High also talked more about terror than the financial future:

"The mass violence, really happening everywhere," she said. "The Boston Bombing, that was just a snap shot of what's going on all over the world. Syria: we found out they have almost definitely been using chemical weapons. It's a scary time and I think the fact that people are willing to kill other people is definitely something that concerns me."
