Man Stopped For Speeding In Delaware, Faces Drug Charges

MIDDLETOWN, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police have arrested a man after he was stopped for speeding and 5 pounds of marijuana were found in a car.

It happened about 3 p.m. Thursday at the Biddles Toll Plaza ion SR1 n Middletown. Troopers say 24-year-old Vance Turner of Philadelphia was observed speeding and pulled over.

Police say a trooper smelled marijuana and searched the car Turner was driving. Officers say they found a shopping bag holding 5 pounds of marijuana worth about $10,000.

Turner has been charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and other offenses.
