WILDWOOD, N.J., (CBS) – If you are making plans to spend time in Wildwood this summer, you might want to set aside a special date in August.

The Greater Wildwood Tourism Improvement and Development Authority and Coastal Broadcasting announced the free concert billed as the “Wildwood Beach Summer Slam.”

“As our headlining act, we have Fuel, who was a huge band from the mid-90s to the early 2000’s,” said Coastal owner and General Manager, Bob Maschio. “Big, big Philadelphia-based following, and of course, they went national and they have hit after hit after hit under their belt.”

The band’s hits include Hemorrhage and Shimmer, among others.

The concert will be held on the beach at Schellenger Avenue on August 24th and it’s free, but you do need a ticket.

Maschio says 15,000 tickets will be available beginning July 1st on a first come first serve basis at three separate websites.
