Police: $10K In Booze Reported Stolen From Tent After U.S. Open

HAVERFORD, Pa., (CBS) –Police say $10,000 in booze was reported stolen from the Trophy Club tent following the U.S. Open.

The theft was reported at about 11 a.m on Tuesday.  The Trophy Club tent is located at Haverford College on 300 block of Lancaster Avenue.

According to Haverford Township Police, approximately $10,000 worth of liquor was reported stolen from the tent.

According to the U.S. Open’s website, “The Trophy Club is an exclusive on-site, air-conditioned pavilion with live U.S. Open coverage located at Haverford College, approximately 400 yards from the clubhouse parking area and the 18th hold at Merion Golf Club.”

The Merion Golf Club hosted the U.S. Open last week, which concluded on Sunday.
