PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Feeling less than gorgeous in that recent photo? There’s an app that’ll help you change that.
Billing itself on CNET’s download page as “every womans [sic] dream” (not so sure about that), Lightricks Ltd.’s app Facetune allows you to essentially airbrush your own photos.
“Enhance your eyes for a deep, penetrating look!” a description of the app boasts. “In a world constantly becoming more visual, perfecting your photos before sharing them online is as important as combing your hair before you leave the house.”
Don’t believe that? Apparently, you’re in the minority. Facetune is currently among the top five paid apps in Apple’s App Store.
From erasing a double chin to zapping away zits, whitening teeth and even implanting hair, Facetune enables you to make yourself model-esque – or at least marginally better looking – with the swipe of a finger.
And once you’re done editing yourself, you can instantly share your retouched photo on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Flickr, Tumblr or via email.
Hopefully, your friends and family will still be able to recognize you.
