17-Year-Old Boy Drowned In Whitehall Township Pool

WHITEHALL Twp., Pa., (CBS) – The Lehigh County Coroner's office says a 17-year-old boy drowned in a Whitehall Township pool on Saturday.

According to the coroner's office, the teen's death is related to an incident that occurred while he was swimming in a pool at Allencrest Pool located on the 1100 block of Livingston Street.

The coroner's office identified the victim as Abel DeLuna, 17, of Allentown.  He was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 4:11 p.m.

The coroner's office ruled DeLuna's death an accident.

The Whitehall Township Police Department is also investigating this incident.
