Police: Prowler On The Loose In Lumberton, NJ

LUMBERTON Twp., N.J., (CBS) – Police are advising homeowners of a prowler on the loose in Burlington County.

Police say the prowler has struck three times in the last month in Lumberton Township.

The most recent incident happened early Wednesday morning on Village Drive.

According to Lumberton Police, the suspect entered unlocked homes.  When confronted by the victims, authorities say he ran way.

"We're telling people prior to retiring for the evening, we want you to make sure that your residence is secured," said Lt. Edward Begolly.  "Make sure your doors and your windows are locked and garage doors are shut. If you see a neighbor in the neighborhood, let him know that their garage door is opened. Be their good neighbor."

Police say there is no description of the suspect available at this time.

Authorities urge anyone who sees something suspicious to call 911.
