Fire At Site Of Future YMCA In Havertown Called Suspicious

HAVERTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- A fire at the site of a future YMCA in Delaware County early Wednesday morning is being called suspicious.

The fire was first discovered at about 3:45 a.m. at a future YMCA building that is under construction at Eagle and Lawrence Roads in Havertown.

Firefighters were able to quickly place the blaze under control and contain it to a small section of the building.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Fire officials have labeled the fire as suspicious. Investigators believe a flammable substance may have fueled the fire.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation.
