PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A banner requesting Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter to resign flew across the city Wednesday morning.

The banner, reading “6 DIED & NO CHANGE – RESIGN NOW NUTTER,” flew over the US Open in Ardmore at about 10:30 a.m. and Center City in Philadelphia around 11 a.m.

It is believed the comment on the banner is regarding an incident that occurred at 22nd and Market Streets in Center City on June 5th where a four-story building under construction toppled onto a thrift store, killing six people and injuring 13 others. (see related story).

In the days following the collapse, Mayor Nutter announced that the city would look at revamping how construction business in done in Philadelphia (see related story).

A heavy equipment operator faces charges including six counts of involuntary manslaughter related to the crash. Authorities say he was high on marijuana, but his attorney denies he was responsible.

It is unclear at this time who may be behind the banner.
