PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - On today's APP-tastic and Outta SITE - Pling.

Instant messaging is old hat in the mobile world, but for a lot of people, typing on that touch screen is still a pain in the neck. Pling is a different way to quickly send messages, letting you record a brief audio clip and fire it to your friend.

Sure, you could do the same thing with a phone call, but if your friend is busy or prefers to avoid the phone, this lets you get you're thought across and lets them respond when they have a moment.
