Eagles Ready For Break After Wrapping Up Mini-Camp

By Ed Benkin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Eagles are getting set to enjoy some time off after completing a three-day mini-camp.  It is the final off-season workout session before the team returns to South Philadelphia for training camp at the end of July.

Head Coach Chip Kelly believes much has been accomplished at this point in the off-season, but much more will be determined once the pads come on at training camp.

"We have an understanding of their athletic ability," said Kelly.  "But there are still a lot of things to be evaluated when you put the pads on.  It's still a physical game.  A lot of guys look great in shorts and t-shirts but then all of a sudden, they disappear when you put the pads on."

Michael Vick and Nick Foles continued to share reps with the top offensive unit.  Vick admitted it has been an adjustment sharing time under center with Foles.

"It's tough," Vick said.  "I have to continue to be a professional and put my feelings and emotions to the side and just continue to compete, but it's hard.  I would be lying if I said it wasn't.  That's just what I have to deal with."

As for Foles, he says he is less worried about the depth chart at this point in the off-season and more worried about improving.  Foles says there is still work to be done.

"I feel really good," said Foles.  "At the same time, we still have a long ways to go.  We have to keep pushing and guys have to keep working to get into training camp and get sharp again.  It's a long time not to be together."

Rookies will report to training camp on July 22nd.  The veterans report July 25th.
