Blog: College Debt Workshops
By Jim Donovan: As Congress debates on student loan interest rates and student loan totals continue to rise, more families are looking for ways for students to graduate with less college debt. If you are the parent/guardian of a high school sophomore or junior, you may want to join Clarifi, our region's leading non-profit credit counseling agency, for one of their college planning workshops being held next week in Center City.
The free workshops will help attendees navigate the overall process of planning and paying for college, including the following topics:
- The major role of college selection
- Tips for the college admissions process
- An overview of the financial aid system and how it operates

The workshops are being offered as a supplement to Clarifi's new college planning services. The services aim to help students and their families make the most informed decisions about college planning, while reducing overall costs.
