PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Well, now none of us have any excuse not to exercise. The daylight hours are longer and the weather is warmer. Even if you are getting home late in the day there is still time.
One of the arguments many people use to avoid exercise is to say they are tired. But what most people do not realize is that exercise can help you become more energetic.
There are obvious advantages to exercising including the fact that it is great for the heart. But regular exercise is also good for your mind. In the short-term exercise helps you think clearer but over many years it helps prevent memory decline during aging.
So get out there and go for a walk or a jog or anything that gets you moving. It is the time of year for this.
