Vietnam Veteran Killed In Port Richmond Blaze
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Fire officials say a Vietnam War veteran was killed in a house fire in Port Richmond on Monday night.
The incident happened at about 9:30 p.m. at the 3100 block of Cedar Street.
Chopper 3 HD was over the scene as crews responded to the blaze.
Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers says the man died on the first floor of the home.
Firefighters placed the blaze under control at about 9:57 p.m.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
The American Red Cross is responding to the scene to help residents.
