Dispatchers say it happened at the Ungerer and Co. facility in Hanover Township shortly before 10 a.m. Friday. Officials say there was an explosion and that one person was hurt, but the extent of the injuries wasn’t immediately known.

Several emergency vehicles have responded to the building and firefighters are responding to the scene.

A woman who answered the phone at the company’s headquarters in Lincoln Park, N.J., said she didn’t have any information on the incident. A message left for a company spokeswoman wasn’t immediately returned.
