Eagles Sign Running Back Felix Jones, Release Marvin McNutt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles have reached an agreement on a one-year contract with former Cowboys running back Felix Jones to a one-year contract.

Jones was in Philadelphia to visit with the Eagles last week.

Jones, 26 years-old, was a first round draft pick of the Cowboys in 2008. Though he was active for all 16 games in 2012, Jones battled injuries and rushed 111 times for 402 yards and three touchdowns. He also caught 26 passes for 266 yards and two touchdowns. Jones is also a kick returner, which the Eagles have struggled with over the last couple of seasons.

Jones' best season was 2010, when he rushed 800 yards, and had 450 yards receiving.

The team also announced they have released wide receiver Marvin McNutt.
