Driver Charged With DUI After Deadly Crash On Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — Police have charged a driver with DUI after a deadly three-car crash along Roosevelt Boulevard.

The accident happened shortly after 10:30 Monday night at Roosevelt Boulevard and 5th Street in Feltonville.

A 43-year-old woman, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was taken to Albert Einstein Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

At least two drivers were pinned in the wreckage and had to be extricated by fire rescue crews.

None of the victims were immediately identified.

A 34-year-old male, who police believe triggered the crash, was charged with driving under the influence.

The crash remains under investigation.
