By John McDevitt
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Looking for that special Mother's Day gift? The Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen will hold a three-day juried fine craft fair starting today in Rittenhouse Square.
One hundred forty five fine craftsmen from across the country and Canada will set up booths in Rittenhouse Square, among them photographer Armond Scavo of South Philly. He has one series of photos called 'Imaginary Landscapes.' Stones like jasper stone are photographed up close with shape forms that resemble mountains, trees, water and the like.
He says he is proud to be a part of the show, because it's one of the best.
"I would have to say that there are what I consider the best jewelers, the best ceramic artist. It is a top notch show. It rivals anything I do. So whatever kind of gift you are looking for Mom, stop by and look at the photographs. But if it's not a photograph, go look at the other artists because there is something there for you."
Hours are Friday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. For more information, click here.
