13 People Injured In Northeast Philadelphia Van Accident

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police confirm at least 13 people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Northeast Philadelphia Wednesday morning.

Authorities say a 15 passenger van overturned on to its side after a collision with a car near the intersection of Torresdale Avenue and Rhawn Street. It happened at about 5:15 a.m.

According to police, 12 of the victims were passengers of the van, the other person was driving the car. All injuries are considered to be non life-threatening.

Police say the female driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.
