2 Charged With Stealing Contractors Vans And Tools In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A pair of men are under arrest, charged with stealing contractor vans and their contents over a period of several months. KYW's Robin Culverwell reports.
David Zagami, 38 of Croydon, is charged with stealing 31 contractor vans and the contents of another 19, selling the contents and dumping them.
Eric Chacon, 37, is charged with receiving the stolen property from Zagami and trying to sell it.
Together, according to District Attorney Seth Williams, the pair stole the vans belonged to small business owners - thereby stealing their livelihood.
The contents of the vans ranged from electronics to power tools to construction equipment.
Zagami is being held on $1.1 million bail. Chacon is from Guatemala and is now being held by immigration officials. bBoth face court appearances Friday.
