PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Are you taking advantage of the spring and enjoying the longer daylight hours and warmer temperatures? Or, are you still working late hours and coming up with excuses to not take that next step and get out and exercise?
If the answer is that you are not taking that next step, you are not alone. For most people there is still a great deal of stress in the workplace and there is no doubt that the responsibilities at work are greater than ever before. So, how do you find time?
The key is to not expect too much from yourself – especially initially. No matter how busy you are, you should be able to find 30 minutes to get out and exercise. It does not have to be intense exercise. In fact, if you are just starting out it is better if you pace yourself.
The other important part is to do it consistently. Every day that you are out there is another day on the right track and before you know it, you will be looking forward to that time.
