Philly Organizations Celebrate Self-Love
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two local organizations have teamed up to bring the city of Philadelphia a Masturbate-a-Thon.
Pleasure Rush! And Screw Smart are hosting the month long event during Masturbation Month (May).
On their fundraising page, the groups say they want the Philly Masturbate-a-Thon 2013 to reduce the shame and stigma around sexuality, create dialogue around the importance of pleasure, promote sexual health and give people an excuse to "jerk-off" for a few hours.
The organizations are asking people to create a Crowdrise page and help them raise money to support sex-positive and pleasure-based education and prevention programs.
The month-long fundraiser will end with the Creamium at the Ruba, located at 416 Green Street. At this event, the collaborative say people will be awarded in various categories, including most pleasure connections, most money raised and most creative fantasy.
