Jury Convicts Latko In Hammonton Double Murder

HAMMONTON, N.J., (CBS) - A jury in Atlantic County has convicted a 34-year-old Gloucester County man in the murders of a 64-year-old woman and her 29-year-old son in their Hammonton home.

The verdict against Patrick Latko of Wenonah followed a two week trial.

Diana Patterson and her son Ryan were fatally stabbed in their home in November of 2011.

Authorities argued that Latko targeted Ryan, who was dating Latko's former girlfriend. Diana was killed when she came upon the attack on her son.

Sentencing is set for mid June.
