Owner And Patron Stabbed Inside Deli In Oxford Circle

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A store owner and patron are hospitalized after they were stabbed inside of a deli in Oxford Circle Wednesday night.

The incident happened at about 7:32 p.m. inside Murano's Deli on the 6600 block of Castor Avenue.

Philadelphia Police say the 35-year-old store owner was stabbed in the right chest.  A 38-year-old patron was stabbed in the left thumb.

Both were transported to Aria Health Torresdale Campus.  The owner is listed in critical condition.  The patron is listed in stable condition.

Police recovered a weapon at the scene and a man is in police custody.
