1 Hospitalized In Society Hill Shooting

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A man was critically wounded when he was shot in the chest in Society Hill last night.
It happened on Lawrence Court, right near 4th and Pine, around 10 o'clock last night. Police believe it was a robbery.
One witness said, "I heard the bang, I looked out my window and I saw a guy running up the street, right up Lawrence that way." And he said he saw a man lying in the street.
Police said that shooting victim was a 33-year-old man. He was taken to Jefferson Hospital in critical but stable condition with a gunshot wound to the upper chest.
There's just a generic description of the suspect so far. He's described as about 5'8", wearing a hooded sweatshirt as he ran away on Lawrence.
Police are interviewing witnesses and gathering surveillance video from the scene.
