PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Philadelphia Police Department says it is cracking down on people using websites to advertise and solicit for sex.

In a three-day, city-wide prostitution sting, the department says it placed several ads on www.Backpage.com advertising undercover female officers posing as prostitutes.

On Thursday, officials say four male “johns” were arrested at a Center City hotel.

Jonathan Nadler, 43, of Wyncote; Bruce Hertzfeld, 49, of Narberth; George Thomas, 40, of Philadelphia; and Roxie Turner, 18, Philadelphia; were all arrested on charges of Patronizing and Prostitute and Solicitation.
