Philadelphia Among '25 Most Polluted Cities' In America

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A 2013 report by the American Lung Association has found that the air in and around Philadelphia may put people's health at risk.

According to the State of the Air 2013 report, the air in the U.S. is much cleaner, but 42 percent of the nation still lives in areas where pollution levels are dangerous to breath.

The results of the report ranked the Philadelphia area as the 11th most polluted city by year-round particle pollution and 20th for ozone pollution.

The Atlantic City area was ranked as one of the cleanest cities for short-term particle pollution.
