City of Philadelphia Prepares Love Notes of Support For Boston and Its Victims

By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Showing support and raising money for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings is the aim of a sticker that will be given to runners, volunteers, and spectators of the Broad Street Run next month in Philadelphia.

In Rittenhouse Square today, Mayor Michael Nutter helped to unveil a posterboard showing the sticker's design.    The heart-shaped logo reads, "From Philly to Boston With Love."

The mayor says it will show unified support for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings and raise awareness of the "One Fund Boston."

"The One Fund, in Boston, was created by Mayor Menino and Governor Patrick to help the victims of this bombing," Nutter noted.

The peel-off backing of each sticker, the mayor says, will include a note encouraging contributions to the fund.

Runners and observers are being asked to wear the stickers over their hearts on May 5th for the Broad Street Run.
