1-Car Crash Causes Power Outages In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Police believe a drunk driver hit a utility pole in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, causing power outages.

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. Sunday at 64th and Jefferson Streets.

According to police, a drunk driver hit a utility pole, then fled the scene.

PECO says 1,898 customers lost service due to the crash.

Service has been restored to all but 278 customers, says PECO officials, but they plan to have service back for all customers by late morning.
